If you are looking for a fresh, eclectic spot, this is it. The property is super clean, super cute, and filled with bright, vibrant colors—a true oasis in the desert. What really sets this place apart, though, is the great community. Even the other guests were amazing; it’s the kind of place where you actually want to sit around the bar or the pool and just enjoy the vibe. A special thanks goes to Jade the bartender, who made it not just a getaway for us, but a place where we felt truly at home. Sad I'll NEVER see you again. 😂 (Like ships passing in the night, or... Like being an airport bartender.) Pro-tip: Don't skip the food! If they offer you the breakfast, get it—it is well worth it. Between the spa, the pool, and the service, it is just a great facility and a great place to be. We will definitely stay here again!

do not come here if you’ve been before the buyout. went from one of the best private hotels to the same sloppy corporate hotel with half of the amenities not working and the other half advertised has been taken away. rooftop has been closed since the buyout kids everywhere again no snacks no free breakfast and the voucher for breakfast only gets you the bland cardboard food they serve they’ve been through three different cheap restaurants no ones liked shut off the water feature after 9 at the pool and it goes until 11 when the desk told us it was closed when we got there and had to find out it wasn’t and when we asked about an upgrade because of a dirty room nor was it the room booked and it was my finances birthday. when they wouldn’t change or upgrade our room they said to talk to the desk host in the morning and they would take care of stuff for us which never happened and said they couldn’t do anything when the morning came and only got more disappointment from the breakfast save yourself the money and headache no longer what it was at all.

Rooms feel like a Mexican beach hotel from 1975. All hard surfaces. Door had a large gap at the bottom that let light through making sleep difficult. Breakfast was included with the room and prepared fresh in the hotel restaurant. Breakfast was by far the best part of the stay but the dining area is plagued by blinding morning sun through large windows with no curtain for protection .

We only booked the hotel for one night (we live in AZ but didn't want to drive home after a night out. When we arrived the room had a very strong cleaning chemical odor (like the product "Fabuloso") which was overpowering and obnoxious. The windows to look out to the pool looked as if they had not been cleaned in a long time (smudged and dirty). We left around 4pm to walk around downtown and when we returned at 1 am I took a shower and the tub was quickly filling up with water. I manipulated the drain lever to no avail, and it ended up being about 10" of water in tub. There was so much water in the tub, my wife refused to take a shower. Did not call front desk because we did not want to be bothered at 1:30 am. In the morning the tub was still full (about 10" of water). The next morning we told the front desk attendant about it and her response was, "OK". No, "Oh I'm sorry for the inconvenience" or just plain, "Sorry about that".....Nothing! Wrote BW hotels and the best thing they could do is give me a $50.00 gift card to spend at any one of their flea bag hotels. We declined. We have stayed in this hotel years ago when it was privately owned, and it was fabulous. It was clean, very quaint and kinda gitchy. All that is lost now that BW owns it. Had the front desk attendant been at least a little considerate, we probably would have let it go, but she obviously could not have cared less. There are so many better hotels to stay around downtown Phx such as The Palomar, The Moxy, The Hyatt, The Cambria, The Westin...don't waste your time at The Clarendon or any BW hotel chain, customer service is nonexistent!

This hotel is very basic but kind of run down. It was clean and seemed safe. The location was convenient. The room was a good size and clean but the remote for the AC and tv did not work. My evening check is was pleasant, the desk person was nice and helpful. The next morning when I told the desk that my AC remote and TV remote did not work, she barely acknowledged me and certainly did not smile, however both were working when I returned later. The free breakfast is kind of a joke. If you are looking for a budget hotel with no frills, this is the place. I am surprised that it got 4 stars but I am giving it 3 stars.
