The 45min tour is super interesting, giving you a good sense of the missile's importance during the Cold War and how things would have worked down there. I feel like I got to learn a lot and saw some cool and unique military history. Our guide was great and the length of the tour was perfect. I would recommend reading the material inside first, then doing the tour, and ending it walking around the outside.

This was truly an outstanding museum, a real and important part of history. While its footprint is small, its impact during the Cold War was big as our country’s deterrent to nuclear aggression, primarily from the Soviet Union. I highly recommend taking the tour. Our guide Celeste was outstanding! She really knew her history, the entire facility, and the greater context of the Cold War era and the role this facility and the people who lived and worked here. Hopefully you’ll get to learn from her on your visit.

This is a great piece of American and Military History for anyone to experience. Its a small glimpse into that period of history. The tour into the silo is worth the money. It was about $20 per person, $17 for veterans and $16 for folks over 65. There are 55 steps down into the silo and back up. Be prepared for the stairs. BTW. The only wait we had was for the start of the next tour.

The history told in the tour is very indepth. Our guide was excellent and seeing the control center first hand was incredible. We were able to see how the lights turned on. It's hard to imagine what tension the Cold War must have put on the country and the military officers responsible for ensuring the missiles were secured and ready for launch at a moment's notice. Very glad that this missile silo was salvaged and made into a museum (with some concessions to the Soviets!). We also met some amateur radio operators (the radio tower outside the gates is the only one like it in the world, still operable with an enthusiastic group of locals).

This was an amazing visit! We loved the tour! Super informational and very easy to follow along! Going down into the actual silo was awesome! Our tour guide did a great job of explaining everything. You get time after the underground tour to look at the above ground stuff as well. There’s a little gift shop attached as well.
