TraVek Roofing

We hired Travek to replace our roof, remodel our kitchen, and replace flooring throughout our house. A neighbor had recommended Travek so we met with the designer and started the process. Fast forward to now, which is roughly 9 months after completion and we wanted to share our experience. We had numerous issues throughout the projects. A lot of issues related to a lack of professionalism from the work crews who were virtually unsupervised and consistently left messes or did subpar work. We also were charged for things we felt we’d already paid for. While we like the look of the kitchen, we’ve found numerous issues with the work done overall. We had them come out several times to fix problems with varying degrees of success. For example, as soon as we used a plug, the outlet would be loose because the screws used were too short. They came to fix one, but never checked the others. Eventually, they were all loose and required another visit. Another issue was that the drawers didn’t line up properly. They came out several times for that and for the last visit (today), we were left with drawers that were supposedly fixed but are clearly not evenly spaced (see photos). We’re also disappointed in the functionality of some of the kitchen elements. The sink constantly looks dirty since it doesn’t seem to drain well. The sink divider is small so when you run water in either side, it splashes all over the other side. This was the sink the designer recommended. A perfect example of form over function so now I’m annoyed every time I use the sink. Our roof which had never leaked before they replaced it, leaked after it was replaced. They came out to repair it but never dealt with the damage done inside from the leak. It took us five weeks of calling them repeatedly to finally get someone to address it (though he never checked the attic for damage). We left numerous messages and promised return calls that never happened. As with all Travek work, the work done was never better than mediocre and we’d never recommend them to anyone else.

Cindy was absolutely wonderful! She came up with a gorgeous design and we couldn’t be happier. I love everything. From start to finish it was a seamless project.

Terrible experience. Roof repair done incorrectly, did not match existing roof. Someone came out and looked when we were not home (we told them we would not be) told us it was as good as they could do. Complained, some else finally came out, agreed to redo. Was told all points of entry would be resealed, flashed, caulked, repainted. I was lied to, it was not done. John finally came back over, agreed to send crew back out to finish job. They promised to send photos of all repair areas, never received. A simple repair job took multiple visits and three weeks. I would never recommend this company.

Refugio was a rockstar!!! We re-floored our entire house, custom-rebuilt the kitchen and master bathroom, and more. Refugio guided us and gave us the information we needed during the entire process. He quietly got things done, and when problems cropped up (as they invariably do in a project of this size), he was literally Mr. Fix-it. Highly, highly recommend.

We chose TraVek for our kitchen remodel for a number of reasons. Price, knowledge and quality are obviously important but so is the personal touch and TraVek had it all. The whole process started with our Sales & Design Consultant Kathy. She was great at not only helping our vision come to life but offered her design expertise to help us decide what things matched and complimented each other. The other cool thing that TraVek does is use computer software to design your kitchen virtually. You’re able to see the finished product before construction even starts so you can make changes to colors, cabinets styles or anything else. Once we had everything picked out, ordered and delivered, our Project Manager Jaryd and our Lead Carpenter Jim took over. Jim did it all: demolition, installation and finishing touches. Jim did a great job and obviously takes pride in his work. The entire team was great at communicating with us as things progressed and when it was all said and done, there was a happy customer with a beautiful new kitchen. We were very pleased with the quality of the products, the workmanship and most importantly, the people who helped get the job done! Thank you TraVek!
