Van's Golf Shops - Sun City

This is a great little golf store that has everything you need. It is well organized and clean.Ryan N and his staff greet you immediately and go out of their way make sure you have a great experience! I ran into a problem with my motor push cart and Ryan promised me he would do everything in his power to make things right, which he did! It is my go-to golf store in the Peoria/Surprise area.

Used to love this store. But the last two times Felt like a used car dealership. Went in a year ago looking at drivers, testing one and the floor guy was telling me the numbers on the screen would equal to a 300 yard drive. i’ve been playing for a while. I know what you need for a 300 yard drive and it wasn’t the numbers I was putting on the screen. No interest in switching to a different shaft that I would bring up. Tested elsewhere and still ended up buying from vans. Went in a couple weeks ago looking for the ping G440 irons knowing I would not be using a stock shaft. Again, same guy only showed me what was on the rack. No interest in doing anything else. This time I ordered from somewhere else. Ping is currently building my G440 irons with Mitsubishi MMT shafts for a total bill out of $1800. I was more than happy to purchase through vans, but I’m not gonna be the customer and the sales guy at the same time.

I walked into the store a while back fully intending to spend money. I play golf, I don’t sell clubs so I go to a place that should be able to help me find what I need. Absolutely no salesmanship and an attitude making me feel like I’m an inconvenience. I get I have a high swing speed and they don’t have as many options for me but at least lead me in some kind of direction. Other than going there to get a club a new grip or just buy usual stuff like balls, don’t waste your time. Feel like you have to beg them to help you out. They must not make a commission or something because I shouldn’t have to be my own salesman.

Good local golf shop. Staff is eager to help and find what you need. I was greeted at the door was helped to find the club I needed.

Same amount of club selection as the large retailers. The staff has been there for years and are very knowledgeable. Rich in club repair is awesome. He made sure my clubs were exactly how I wanted them. If you need any type of repair, I would highly recommend seeking him out.
