Velocity VR at Octane Raceway

Despite arriving a few minutes before our reservation time, we were refused entry and spoken to aggressively. We booked a 3:00 PM slot for three people and arrived around 2:55. The instructions say it’s “recommended” to arrive 15 minutes early, but in practice it seems required—because they would not let us in. The check-in staff initially told us they couldn’t admit us, then directed us to the front to speak with a manager. The GM, Matt, came over and immediately raised his voice and opened with, “YOU’RE LATE.” We were shocked by how confrontational the interaction was. My husband asked if we could de-escalate and focus on resolving it, but the manager remained aggressive and refused any refund. This wasn’t just about not being allowed in—it was the tone, lack of professionalism, and poor leadership throughout the interaction. Based on our experience, I can understand why other reviews mention customer service issues. I wouldn’t recommend booking here, especially if there’s any chance you won’t arrive well in advance.

We checked in at 2:58 PM for our 3:00 PM session and were told we were ‘late’ and couldn’t join. The email only recommends arriving 10 minutes early, so this felt unreasonable. First time, ended up booking 2 sessions back to back lol . Arrive 10 min early so you set up your gamer display name . We did the outbreak first then the undead arena, OUTBREAK was better!! It’s not actual 45 min due to introduction/ instructions but good 30 min each. Staff was friendly 😄

Played the 'Outbreak' game on the VR and it was amazing! The graphics were pretty good and it's pretty realistic that when a zombie comes at you, you'll duck in response. Story was also nice and had different levels. Definitely would play again.

This is a really cool place to come with a big group, we tried the go karts and they do go super fast, it was fun but do your research first if you really want to drive this karts hahaha.
