A Tucson classic 5-mile round trip ascending into the Santa Catalina Mountains past 'The Window' — a dramatic natural rock arch formation framing the desert below. Gains 1,200 feet through diverse desert and riparian habitats.

Beautiful hike with plenty of shade and plants. The first hour or so is a pretty easy, relaxing hike. The views are great and there’s so many cacti too! There is a steep incline after the first hour or so on the way to the maiden pools but the trail itself is well maintained. The mountains are absolutely gorgeous up here. The maiden pools are also so beautiful! The stream running through the boulders is so cool and you can go into the water if you want. Easy parking with plenty of space at the lot. Would definitely come again!

Went for a sunrise hike, and the views from the top did not disappoint! The trail was well groomed and easily accessible through the resort we were staying at. For any new comers, I would definitely bring some sturdy hiking shoes, as you will travel up rocky slopes, climb giant boulders and jump over areas that have running water.

Dedicated large free parking area within spitting distance of the resort. The parking area offers easy access to the nearby trailhead which is at the top (North/mountain side) of the parking area. The flat and easy to follow Trail can quickly become deceiving after a couple of miles as the terrain, the elevation and the difficulty all increase. Kudos to those that make it to the top!

Trail is rough with steep inclines. A little over 6 miles to the pools and back. Recommend good shoes, water, and lunch. This hike takes most of the day to complete.

Found my Santosha (contentment) on the trails today. A massive thank you to Santosha Wellness Yoga for the amazing views and the wildlife encounters. It was a truly beautiful experience from start to finish. 🐾🙌
