I have to go here once a year. Security never gives me no hassle as I am doing what is supposed to be done without being told. Only when I get to sherrifs area are they slow and want to give attitude.

I actually went here to vote in the AZ primary election. (Found my normal polling place under construction). FYI: This entire area seemed to be as well with lots of street closures and street parking almost non-existent. Unless you have a ride I suggest paying for parking nearby. The reason being is you have to go through metal detectors and get body scanned upon entrance to the building, even if you just wanted to drop off your ballot. ( because the ballot box is on the other side of the detectors ) Everyone I met here was very nice on entrance. Drop off box is right past the metal detectors in the room on the left side. Easy enough just drop your ballot off and you're done. Exit same way you came in and don't get on any escalators or staircases and you should be fine. Did not see any public restrooms but a public building like this should have them somewhere? The entrance did have a handicapped accessible ramp for wheelchairs. Did not take any photos as people get very skittish these days when you do that around public buildings, especially courthouses.

If you're not familiar with downtown Phoenix you may want to pre-plan a route, leaving time for walking to the courthouse. We ended up parking on the street about a quarter mile away. Bring plenty of coin to feed the meter. You'll check in at the entrance and be made to wait for someone to retrieve you and guide you to the appropriate area depending on your business there. Nothing seems to move very quickly, but that's the way the government operates. Wear some comfortable shoes and something to hydrate yourself.

A very impressive operation... having the ability to protect tens of thousands of people on a daily basis is nothing short of monumental. Kudos to all who wear the blue (or tan)!! 🫡👍
