This park is beautuful! I took a low grade hike to see a waterfall that didn't exist. There were a few puddles left from what WAS...AT ONE POINT A WATERFALL. The experience was everything. The Mountain brought a sense of serenity. There was an area for camping, a huge park with covered areas with BBQ pits and public bathrooms. Really loved this place.

My husband and I spent the Christmas holiday in our Winnebago van camping and hiking. This is by far one of the best regional parks in Arizona. Clean. Staff was great. Arizona sunrises are the best. The landscape was breathtaking. If you can't spend the night then just go for the day. Escape your computers and news for a day. Well worth the mental health!!

Attended a group campout here. (We reserved a group site. ) Hadn't been out here since they paved the roads. Guessing that was 40 years ago since my last visit. Park is clean and well maintained. Bathroom and showers were clean which was great because I visited during the government shutdown and wasn't sure if the funding issues were affecting state and county parks. Lots of places to picnic and camp. Camping is 22.00 a night (dry camping. No hookups). Now that the weather is cooler, I'll definitively be back. Update: Jan 2026 New Years Eve camping at the White Tanks. Again, group reserved campsite. Clean grounds. Perfect weather. A touch of rain. Didn't mind that a bit. It's a nice place to camp.

Takes about an hour to an hour and half to hike this trail. Starting point has bathroom facilities and water spot. First part of tail is paved then turns to gravel. Pretty easy hike. Would recommend proper foot wear and water. Sometimes when you get to top you can see a small waterfall not always though. Dog friendly.

Wonderful park with clear hiking trails and wonderful petroglyphs! We did the black rock loop trail and the waterfall hike linked together. We have small kids, and they managed fine.
