Zipps Sports Grill - Phoenix 44th St

I've been going to Zipps for many years. The wings ate great, the fish and chips are a great value. The food in general is just ok in my opinion. But it's a sports bar. The drinks a great, the service is great. The happy hour specials are good. It's a good place to go for drinks and watch a game. And if you get hungry, the food is OK.

We were nearby eating pizza and afterwards wanted to stop somewhere for some wings and a few drinks. I’ve only been to a Zipps one other time at a location in Glendale and it wasn’t for us, but we saw this spot and it looked busy and a much better vibe so we stopped in. We were greeted right away which was good and were able to sit at a booth with a few of our kids. Our waitress was friendly and attentive our entire visit. We ordered the wings hot and she informed us they can’t take them back if too spicy so she wanted to make sure we would still like them hot. It sounds like a lot of people can’t handle heat and don’t eat them. I also ordered their chip salad. Both came out pretty quick. The wings were so good. Not overly sauced, crispy and the wings weren’t event that hot. I’m a bit of a sissy and I’d say they were more mild than anything. The salad was okay, but mostly just iceberg and some bacon crumbles. It was crisp and cold. Vibe is fun. It’s a sports bar so lots of TVs and pretty loud. Parking was easy, but can fill up quick. It’s a very busy parking lot.

Overall, loved my experience today. I had a great server and she was very human and pointed out some great food options. Tayler had an amazing attitude and we will be back again. Also Sam another waitress did an amazing job and took the time to ask if we were doing okay when she was not our waitress. I was here prior and the Manager Brandon was welcoming and chatted with us but tonight no manager came and chatted, which I thought was weird but overall good experience. Will be going back again!

As regular patrons of Zipps, I typically provide both positive and negative feedback as warranted. During our recent dinner and drinks visit with my wife, the overall experience was enjoyable – great food and service. However, a peculiar incident caught my attention. I noticed the young lady, pictured on this post, took an unsolicited sip from my drink. My waitress was on her way back to us and noticed me looking at her and returned back to rectify an earlier oversight, put our drinks down by the food where the cooks place it to stay warm. It was during this moment that the young lady took a sip from my drink. While I chose not to make an issue of it at the time, it's important to note that this need to be addressed. I observed her for a while, and she did not have a similar cup of her own. While this incident didn't significantly impact our overall experience, it's worth mentioning as it raises concerns about hygiene practices. I hope this feedback helps maintain the high standards we typically associate with Zipps Sports Bar and Grill.

Great happy hour spot. Probably not the best place to go for food in the area, but service is incredible. Prices are great and it’s the neighborhood bar vibe. I wanted to when I went here.
