Good pool companies are hard to find and we happily have been with Universal Pool Service for a year. Each week our tech (Josh) comes out and accomplishes our cleaning, water evaluation and then chemical additions (included in the price). With a 5 year old pool, we occasionally need maintenance (new gaskets, ...) and they have always been responsive and competitively priced. Bryan T in service is fast with responses to emails/phone calls and the fix happens in a timely manner. Happy to be with Universal Pool Service, wish we have moved to them sooner!

This pool business has been by far our favorite! We tried 2 pool businesses when we first moved in over 10 years ago and have been with Universal Pools ever since. They are punctual and reliable! When an issue arises (like our neighbors flowering palm trees 😣) the owners are quick to act and help us to promptly fix the issue! The owners of this company go above and beyond to make sure their clients are taken care of and have pools they are proud to show off. If you are looking for an amazing pool company, look no further!

Stay away from these guys. I wouldn’t use them to net leaves out of my swimming pool. I hired them to install a new heat pump back in August so that I would be ready for the winter months and have a nicely heated pool. I’ll just bullet point the issues that we had and have continued to have… 1. The owner himself, Brian, with a helper installed our heat pump. After the installation there was so much overspray On my brand new ~$6000 heat pump!! When I asked Brian about this he responded with, “the sun will bake this off eventually”. I couldn’t believe it When I told him I would just take care of it myself, he went to his truck and I believe he used gasoline to remove the paint. Unbelievable. 2. After multiple tries on my own to get the heat pump to work (these guys would not come back Until I finally got a hold of somebody at the office when the owners were out of town… This employee finally came to at least look at the problem. He discovered an issue with a calibration… This after using my existing gas Heater to bring the pull up to temperature. Long story short, I had to do this a total of three times because of their incompetence. That’s about a $1500 gas bill! 3. After the owners were back from their European vacation, I still couldn’t get them to come back to assess why I couldn’t heat my pool… This is now December 2024. It wasn’t until I called back again to let them know that they’re costing me a ton of $ that they (owners wife, Jen) called the heat pump manufacturer & started a warranty claim on THEIR behalf, that I had a qualified technician out here to investigate. I say “their” behalf because this was the only time Jen was EVER pleasant on the telephone. She was actually quite snarky As she joyfully told me that it wasn’t their problem anymore (in so many words). 4. So I sit here Into the third week of January 2025 with an unheated pool And excessive gas bills. Hopefully the warranty company will take care of us next week and we can finally enjoy the pool as we should have at the beginning of the season last year. Ps. In addition to the heat pump, I bought a quality pool cover and I purchased a new reel, all because they said I needed to do these things to keep my pool warm… I proceded with their recommendation (and I agree with the recommendation), but that’s all they wanna do is “sell”, take your money and not have any responsibility, in my opinion. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!! EDITED MY RESPONSE TO OWNERS COMMENT: Your response immediately notates that “the business relationship was difficult from the beginning”….comical. That’s a strategic response from you, clearly. The process was quite simple. I called you with a need, you said you could accommodate, so I paid you what you asked for. You just couldn’t fulfill. To boot, you did it with a pretty awful attitude. There’s no excuse for that. Good riddance.

We have been using Universal Pool Service for 10+ years. In addition to handling our weekly maintenance they have also cleaned and replaced our filters, drained and cleaned the tile line in the pool, added a gas heater to our spa and pool. They are honest, reliable, accessible and knowledgeable.

As a pool owner for over 35 years I can honestly say that this family owned business is by the far the best pool service we have ever had. We have been with Universal for over 7 years and the consistency of their quality and service is unmatched. Reliable, professional and always quick to respond to your needs.
