Ideal Air Conditioning and Insulation

This company installed a mini-split for us two years ago, so when our thermostat stopped working and our HVAC wouldn’t turn on we called and asked for help. Nixaelen came out the next morning to assess the situation, and it was the best experience. She’s truly incredible in all the ways. She was efficient, knowledgeable, communicative (in a way that was clear and understandable), and transparent. She wore little booties to keep our already-gross-because-we-have-two-feral-kids carpet “clean”. She’s also kind, smart, and incredibly personable. Even our apprehensive “stranger danger” dog was happy and chill around her, which is as rare as winning the lottery. You know when you meet someone who just feels like family? That’s her. She aLeo gave us extra time to answer some other questions we had related to fans/HVAC/etc, and never made us feel rushed. My only complaint is that I wish my kids were home so they could’ve met her and had the chance to witness a person with amazing work ethic, communication skills, and all the smarts while fixing things and kicking butt in an industry in which we rarely see women. If we need to call for help again — and I’m sure we will — we’ll be asking for Nixaelen. She’s truly the best.

We recently had Ideal Air Conditioning and Insulation team led by Alex and Elina completely transform our home's cooling and heating system, and I can't recommend them highly enough. They installed 5 new heat pump systems, expertly zoned 7 different areas for precise comfort control, and replaced all our old, leaky flex duct with high-quality KD ducts throughout our foam-encapsulated attic. What really stood out was their commitment to doing things the right way. They performed full Manual J (load calculation), Manual D (duct design), and Manual S (equipment selection) calculations to ensure everything was properly sized and optimized for our home's needs; no shortcuts here. The result? Even temperatures everywhere, significantly better energy efficiency, and much quieter operation. We interviewed 5 different providers. Most did not provide engineering calculations. Most did not provide hard ducts (KD Ducts). Most played games with cost estimates. The installation crew was phenomenal. In a job this big (major ductwork replacement in the attic plus all the new equipment), there was inevitably some disruption, but they went above and beyond to keep dust and dirt to an absolute minimum. They used extensive floor and wall coverings, sealed off work areas meticulously, and cleaned up thoroughly every single day. Our home stayed remarkably clean throughout the entire process, something we really appreciated. Professional, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and truly customer-focused from start to finish. If you're in the Scottsdale area and want high-performance HVAC work done correctly (especially with proper engineering calcs and duct upgrades), Ideal Air is the team to call. I recently had Ideal Air Conditioning & Insulation replace my AC system and add ductwork. The installation crew did a fantastic job — they were thorough, professional, and clearly skilled. The new return they installed greatly improved static pressure, and the system now operates much more efficiently. Their pricing was competitive compared to other bids I received, and they offered a strong overall value for the work performed. That said, I did run into a few bumps during the process. Coordinating with my home warranty company proved difficult — Ideal did provide diagnostic information, but follow-through on some requests and communication around those requests could have been smoother. On one of my early calls, the person who answered sounded a bit annoyed, and on subsequent calls I’ve occasionally felt like my call might be inconveniencing them. Also, while their website lists “24-hour service,” it’s not obvious that this is meant for emergency situations only, and their standard business hours aren’t made clear online. Overall, though, I’m happy with the quality of the installation and the results. I’m confident the improvements will pay off in comfort and performance, and I appreciate the team’s skill and professionalism.

I actually googled Ideal Air Conditioning and Insulation as a second bid. I had a Mitsubishi Mini / Split in my 2 car garage in Desert Ridge house. I wanted the same installed in our new house in Cave Creek 2 car garage/ 1 car garage before moving in. My first bid was the company that installed the Mitsubishi, but now wanted to install a Trane Mini/ Split ( was low-balled--extremely low price). Ideal Electric company sent Ryan Tracey ( engineer- efficiency expert ) out to survey garages at the new house. He was professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. Later that day we decided to go with Ideal. After signing a contract, we were quickly contacted by their office personnel Elaine Reid. We decided to have Ideal install two 1 ton Mitsubishi Mini/ Splits. Excellent choice and quality ( installed June, 2025). Eric, Mike, and Jamie his team did a great job installing our 1 ton Mitsubishi. They showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves, and were very professional. They installed two wall quality units on June16,2025 at a fair price. Excellent communication before, during, and after installation. Unusual occurrence one Mini /Split remote ( brand new ) did not work effectively. No hassles. They replaced it with a new one and personally delivered it to my house a month later. I would highly recommended Ideal Air Conditioning to anyone needing a new A/C unit.

I had Ryan come out to get a quote for a new ac. I had a 4 ton and he recommended a 3 1/2 and told me why he picked that one. When he went up in my attic he saw the air handler wasn't put in correctly. And gave me items needing to be done. He did a Manual J load calculation to offer the 3 1/2 ton. He was very informative and knew alot about ac's. I want to give him kudos. I wish I knew the price he quoted would of been less. At the time I already had another ac come out. Doing the same specs. Boy I wish I had gone with your Company with all the specials u were offering. But I got some discounts from my new ac also. Thank u Ryan for all the information on the ac. It was very helpful.
