Fast oil change and preventive maintenance in Peoria.

Really bad experience twice. I will never go there again. I had a coupon both times he figured out a way to charge more. The first time was a 2010 van with a small block he said I need an extra quart of oil that's ok, the price was not and the attitude was terrible I think it was the manager manager. Second time I had a Toyota Highlander and he said it would be an extra like 50.00. Then he said I need a new battery. I told him that I just bought one he said I was cheap and was swelling he gave me a very high quote for a new battery. I took it to O'Reilly's and they said it was perfect. He also said that we need brakes not sure how he came up with that one they didn't take the tires off. I didn't think they did brakes. I'm 65 and have repaired all my many vehicles. Lucky I found a great mechanic I can trust moving forward.

It surely was a slow Monday when I pulled in abt 245pm. The staff was friendly & Wilfredo has charm. He informed me abt the oil change, set up the reminder on my dash & I felt properly treated as a woman. Also, it’s awesome to see a young lady working in automotive. Thanks for the oil change & being honest. I’ll definitely be back.

This place has excellent service. The young man who helped me out recently transferred here from I think Oregon or Washington. He was very informative, very polite, and extremely knowledgeable. This oil change was very affordable, especially with the coupon I downloaded online. The facilities are very clean and they are pretty quick. I love the fact that you don't have to get out of your car during the oil change.

I had a problem with stuck oil tank nut been over tight, I drove over asking the mechanic to help me loose it then company standard tighten for safety, I then drove home to change the engine oil myself which I love to do. They were more than happy to help with 100%+ customer service and care. I was overwhelmed by the kindness. After my successful attempt to change oil came attempting to change my oil filter, it was over tightened too. Tried all I can but couldn't teque it a bit. So I drove to same Valvoline and explaibed the situation, they remembered me from the previous day and changed my oil filter since I had the new filter already. Incredible people. I asked other locan repair shops they all refused to offer help given option to do full service including own oil, going for full sale, but Valvoline are the sweetest of all. They did not charge a cent but supported my project. I love you Valvoline and staff. Valvoline will be my number one to go to for any issue going forward. Ofcourse I will pay for those services lol.

First nothing seemed to be working from one of the car lifts, to the scanner to scan the coupon, to the printer that printed the sticker. The CSR seemed rushed to be done with the service to get on his phone and was not wearing any safety glasses the entire time of the service. At one point he was very clearly on his phone while the service was being performed on the vehicle by what I assume were two new hires. Not just that his name on my receipt didn’t match his name tag and there were several other discrepancies that are minuscule but make make question work they do. He did not type the email correctly not even when I gave it two separate times to ensure it was correct and he brushed it off. He said on the receipt that I said I had got every service done already and to not go over it again with me. I never asked them to not go over recommended services with me again. He also stated on the receipt that the coolant reservoir was checked and it was not. He stated they added washer fluid, no they did not. He also stated that they reset my oil light and they did not. They set my tires to 38psi when I wanted 35psi. And so much of this was just very upsetting that he could not take the time to make such minor and small change. The uniform he was wearing had a name starting with J, but it was not the guy that had been there for years who has been my CSR before. That guy is always great! Even the new hire Eli was such a sweet guy and did the job he was learning better than the CSR I had today. Lastly, a handwritten sticker I did get had my next oil change written for 8K miles! What?! Even on synthetic you shouldn’t go more than 4-5k miles. I get my oil changed at a variety of places and always go every 3K miles. Just extremely disappointed with the multiple minor lies in today’s service. I’ve loved coming to the valvoline for a while now but this one guy ruined my perception of this location making me question a lot. Thankfully I used to operate my own Jiffy Lube a few years back and know what to look for, but how many people have been scammed that don’t know any better? That don’t know what to look for? Do better, bet better. Be honest and take the time to make the minor changes on people’s e and at the very least be honest.
