I would like to give a huge thank you to Talmadge Tanks for the utmost professionalism and training I could have asked for. I am a 46-year-old man, fresh out of the gate and looking to jump into this amazing sport. Talmadge showed incredible patience and experience, taking the time to teach me what I needed to do, how to improve, and—most importantly—how to believe in myself. For someone like me, I would think most people would have just helped and moved on. Not Talmadge. He made sure I truly understood. He showed me again and again… and when I thought I finally had it, he’d say, “Do it again,” with a laugh. That kind of dedication is rare. If more people carried even a piece of what this man has, customer service everywhere would be on a whole different level. Vans Shop — this man is an asset to your corporation. We’re all about the quality of service from local and national vendors. Well, Van’s golf (worldwide golf now) 90 day policy is a fact! Their store on Indian School and El Mirage honored this policy without question! My wife just purchased complete set of mixed match clubs. She tested inside and took them outside to the range and made her decision. We play golf 3 times a week and she started struggling with her driver. Right at the 90 day mark we took it back expecting the worse. As we walked in my wife explained that she has been struggling with her driver and what are her options. The person behind the counter stated “how can we make it better?” My wife tested a few more drivers and decided on one. They swapped it out and gave her credit for the price difference. There was no pressure or indication of misuse but only how they could keep a customer satisfied! Many kudos to the Van’s sales team for hand holding us through a potential bad experience to a “we will definitely be back and updating our friends to the outstanding customer service” that Van’s provides! Please give them a try.

Horrible customer service. I walked in to buy a new glove and was not greeted by anyone. When we were ready to pay, there were about three or four cashiers just standing around. I placed the glove on the counter and Trevor helped us, but he didn’t seem enthusiastic and wasn’t particularly friendly. I would rate the experience about a 3 or 4 out of 10. We also have a rewards number with the store, but Trevor never asked for it. As we were leaving, there were more people paying, and Trevor suddenly seemed very eager and helpful when assisting a white family. (And ask them for their rewards number) Overall, the experience was disappointing. Next time I’ll probably take my business somewhere else.

If I could give Van’s golf in Avondale 10 stars I would! I highly recommend shopping with Vans Avondale location. Darren and his team are the most welcoming, patient and knowledgeable professionals around. He has created an atmosphere where it doesn’t matter if you’ve been golfing for 10 days or over 10 years. Everyone gets the same respect and help. I truly appreciate being able to walk in there with any question or problem and feel like I’m being heard and taken care of. No weird looks or comments from any of the staff, just great service! So thank you all for that! It’s what makes me want to shop there for all my golf needs and nowhere else. I’ve had many experiences shopping at this location and they all were top notch. Some of my most recent purchases include a driver re-fitting, a custom ordered putter and a complete set of the new Titlest T irons. Driver Re-fitting: I had purchased a PXG driver recently and after playing with it for a little while I realized I wasn’t really happy with it. So I ended up bringing in my driver and getting a Re-fitting done with (Talmadge). I got my driving situation all figured out. Super thankful for Talmadge and his help! Putter fitting: I was in shopping for clothes one day and stoped by the putting green area and was greeted by (Bret) . He helped me go through a bunch of putters and ended up introducing me to LAB putters. I was completely blown away by their design and how well I was putting with them. So he helped me custom build and order one. Super happy with the purchase! Iron fitting: Scheduled an iron fitting with (Louie) online. We probably tried about 6 different sets of irons until we found the ones for me. He was super patient and very nice. He helped me stay consistent through the whole fitting to get the best data possible. I ended up ordering a set of Titleist T irons and was so happy with the end results! Thank you all so much for everything!
