Arizona Pool & Spa Renovations

We recently had our 12000 gallon pool remodeled. Don was great to work with and delivered on budget, on schedule and we were very happy with the final result. The various crews who did the work were very courteous, showed up when they were supposed to and left the yard clean after each step. The whole process of resurfacing the pool and installing new pool equipment took about 2 weeks.

Don was great at scoping out our pool resurfacing project and getting it scheduled (despite weather challenges). We love the finished product.

I am in the middle of trying to have work completed by this company. For resurfacing, new tile and an extremely small concrete job to be completed- my pulls has been tore up for nearly 8 weeks. Don, who is a co-owner does not communicate well nor does he take accountability for his actions. Instead, chooses to blame the customer for everything. I am hopeful this will get their attention as I can not get any info from Don directly. He can be quite rude (and admittedly makes me rude in return), however when someone spends a lot of money with a company for a pool remodel to be done, you would think they would do anything it takes to ensure the project goes smoothly. Apparently not for Don. Update as of 8/17: as you will see Mike (one of the owners) decided to respond after 3 months. Pretty normal response time if you wait on them by having to proactively bug them. Mike is right, he came out to do the “start-up” on the pool as I was not allowed to have my own pool guy do it. The dumping of a gallon of chemicals into the pool sure was worth the wait (literally, that’s what was done as I sat here and watched). Besides the large slope in the concrete deck the poured which translates into uneven pool tile in one spot, things are great. I didn’t bother having them come out as I didn’t want things tore up for months on end and even more angst with dealing with Don- sounds like others have experienced as well. I thought I would never have to deal with this firm again, but I needed to respond back to Mikes response after the 3 month delay it took them. I still suggest looking elsewhere for your pool renovation needs.

Terrible experience with Don and lack of communication and constant excuses. He wouldn’t let me talk to anybody else because he said he was the manager and owner. Finally at the end after 10 months, Mike came out to start up pool. Mike was great and told me he was also the owner. Why wouldn’t Don let me talk to Mike in the first place? Mike was personable and helpful, and I believe this whole nightmare might have been less dreadful if Mike was involved.!In the end I hired someone else redo the pool surround.

If you read the other one star reviews you'll see that Don is great until he's not. I like him and Mike and his quality of work and recommendations. And then his communication was dysfunctional and confrontational. I kept trying to work with him. I had a similar experience where he was defensive and assumed what I wanted and didn't discuss options. I asked to talk to Mike 3 different times and he refused. There seems to be a different side to Don that shows up. BEWARE!
