Sun Devil Auto - Mesa

Took my car in as my engine light came on and two days prior my car had gotten a coolant leak dealt with so I wanted to make sure this was nothing. VTEC was popping up as an error but nothing else so the mechanic said this should be driveable and not a huge worry. Long story short when I got back to Phoenix, there was oil all over my engine, and it was confirmed by another mechanic that there was an oil pressure issue, which is why the light also came on… Coolant was also leaking out of the cap. Luckily, my car was able to drive 30 miles home with Almost no oil on the dipstick… However, this could have been very dangerous. I had asked the mechanic at least three times if there was any chance this had anything to do with the oil or the coolant and he said no and failed to perform any Test for this. Overall disappointing experience.

Great shop and service, I usually change my own oil but my neighbor gave me a coupon for an oil change for under $10. I was givia choice between conventional oil or synthetic, I went with synthetic. They were very busy (a good sign) and short handed but got to me quickly. One point is they have a comfortable couch along with chairs in the waiting area. Great shop and crew. I'll definitely go again for my vans service 👍

After paying a diagnostic fee and not going through with the recommendations from SunDevil this is how they returned my vehicle. To make things worse they wanted to charge $1,200 for a repair that the dealership charges $600, and in the end had I agreed to this it wouldn’t have fixed the problem as it was something else and very minor. I would never go here again and I am out $225 for for a bad diagnosis, and a terrible experience.

Just had my first experience with Sun Devil Auto after being referred by a co- worker. Wished so bad that I would have gone there first instead of the Toyota Service Center who charged me $190 just to diagnose the problem when I didn’t choose to have the repair done there. Sun Devil would have done the full air conditioning check and diagnosis at no charge. Freddy was truly a gem to deal with—- he was up front and honest with the quote and true to his word. The appt was made and the repair was completed that day. These guys are very professional and customer service oriented and the car’s air conditioning is working full-blast in time for the hot AZ months. I highly recommend Sun Devil Auto if you need any vehicle repair.

Had a raw fuel smell coming from gas tank area, brought vehicle in without appointment early am. Diagnosis done by midday and new fuel pump installed by end of day. Chris and the staff are personable and knowledgeable, have never had issues with this team in 13 years of service being provided on multiple vehicles. Great warranty, and they don’t upsell to grab a few extra bucks, but advise what should be done and what can be deferred. Our “go to” team of mechanics and technicians. Highly recommended.
